August is my time frame, primarily one of the first 3 weeks. Hell or high water I am going, it just depends on how many people are going to be with me. Some of the guys from Yakima might like to go as well.

August is a good time, since it will give the snow a chance to melt. I'm always in for another trip. I just need to figure out the loading situation.

I think the first week in August would be good. Leave on Sunday Aug 1st. Running it midweek should eliminate conflicting with an organized run from some other group

I hope my BJ is done by then, I would rather take it than my 62. But hell or high water one of them is going to California in August.

If you are thinking about going it's time for maintenance, etc. Progress on the diesel is going well so it looks like I will be taking the diesel.
My Mom was up from California and says she will be happy to put us up while we are there. She lives about an hour and a half from the trail head and has an acre to camp on and room to leave trailers if need be.

I was fortunate enough to run the Dusy-Ershim last September in my FZJ and would really love to make a run at the 'Con.
Tony, I believe we met at Cruisin' the Woods in 2008 (year before last), at the Toyota-only run. I was in a silver FJ Cruiser, camping with an Australian Cattle Dog pup named Tucker. (Tucker and I worked the next to last checkpoint at CTW this last year with some other NWFJCC members.
Anyway, I'm thinking hard about how I can swing this. I need to make it up to some meetings and get out on the trail with you all.
Cheers!
